Mean Girl & Sketchy Thursdays

I did this layout for this weeks Sketchy Thursdays sketch. I love the sketches that Diana & Heidi post, so much fun to work with. This weeks sketch was great and for once I actually did a pretty literal interpretation! Yay me! I'm pretty notorious for taking a sketch and warping it to fit my needs. Sometimes so much that you can't relate the two. Oops.

Sketchy Thursdays Challenge Sketch 4/8/10

"Mean Girl"

"2010: Our baby girl, Lizzy. Contemplating life, love, and probably (most likely) a nap. Our (sic) clawing another cat's face. She's nice like that."

Don't you hate when you finish the page and find a misspelling in your journaling? Argh.

Scrapfreak Stuff

Holy crap, not only did I actually scrap - I'm blogging too! It is a miracle. Or something.

First up, for the March 2010 Sketch Inspiration at Scrapfreak:

Next, also for Scrapfreak, the April 2010 Sketch Inspiration:

And a fun Valentine's card I made for my darling husband this year. I lifted the design from someone on the internet...if it is you, thanks!

Thanks for looking! Hey, maybe I'll actually post again this month...er...year?

P.S. - we have made Montrose part of our family...he's just beside himself with happiness! Or so it seems. He sleeps a lot, which is the sign of a very content kitty.

Introducing...Montrose!

Well, I seriously abandoned this blog! Hopefully I'll do a better job of blogging this year. I've abandoned my scrapping lately as well. ScrapSketch is back up after a little end of year break, so I'll be posting layouts soon!

For now, let me introduce Montrose. He decided to take up residence in our backyard a few weeks ago. After a few heartbreaking nights with him crying through the rainstorms, we just couldn't let him stay outside anymore. Just call me the cat whisperer!

We keep saying we're just fostering him for now...but I'll be honest. We are completely smitten with him (even if the other 4 cats are 100% NOT smitten). I'll be shocked if he goes to another home!

Montrose, the handsome devil:

New Scrapsketch and Scrap-Diner Contest Reminder!

Scrapsketch has started posting card sketches! A new sketch will be posted every Wednesday, layout sketches will continue to be posted on Mondays. I'm so excited, since I am uber card challenged. Why is that 4x5 is so hard to fill, but 12x12 is a breeze? Maybe it's just me!

Card Sketch #1

I used My Mind's Eye & Jenni Bowlin patterned paper, Cricut George for the stars, stash ribbon, Making Memories Tiny Alphas, and Bazzil With An Edge borderstrip.

Sketch 158

I used Cosmo Cricket Ever After patterned paper and chipboard accents, Bo Bunny lace ribbon, and Making Memories Alphas.

Thanks for looking! And don't forget to visit scrapsketch and check out the CT work!

Another reminder, Scrap-Diner is still having that amazing contest where you'll have 3 chances to win an ipod! How cool is that? Be sure to sign up at the forums, check in at the Welcome Wagon and let everyone know I sent ya so we both get credit!
